The first of its kind, Step Up is way to engage persons of all ages, especially families, in the fight against poverty. As Walk Chair, I formed a Walk Committee of 5 members and directed all aspects of the Walk event. The event was hosted at CrossLife Church in Oviedo on November 7, 2015 at 8am. A total of 125 participants and 7 children sponsored!

I also learned about great social media tools such as Sprout and InMoment. I was able to apply service marketing skills in responding to customer feedback via social media and telephone. One of the most impactful aspects of this internship was the independence I earned. I was entrusted to call vendors, plan aspects of the event, and help make important decisions. Everyday was a little different! Summer Intern
Mission Change is a non-profit organization located in Albany, Georgia. Year-round, Mission Change is hard at work with the Village after school program, monthly missions, and event planning. During the summer, Church Teams come a week at a time to serve in Albany. During the Summer of 2014, I co-lead 8 different teams through different service projects. Projects such as serving the homeless, repairing houses, trimming crate myrtles, and crafts with the Senior Citizens. This has been one of the most influential experiences yet. Along with teaching valuable lessons on building relationships based on trust, I learned how to manage both large and small teams and how to adapt to ever-changing scenarios and groups.
