• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts in the Tea Industry, with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.• Identifying and developing new business opportunities within key accounts by understanding their needs and providing customized solutions to increase sales revenue.• Creating account plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and increase revenue, while also maintaining profitability.• Providing regular updates and reports on account activity and performance to the sales and marketing team.• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and account growth, such as working with the product development team to develop new tea blends based on customer preferences.• Developing and executing negotiation strategies to achieve profitable agreements with key accounts while maintaining a strong working relationship.• Acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts and resolving any issues that may arise in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks, and adjusting account plans accordingly.• Researching the tea producer, countries, markets, marketing studies, attending regular business trips for raw material procurement and whilst always being on the lookout for new tea components;• Mastering both classic and modern production technologies;• Development of new products, creating new blends, the selection of raw tea, fruit and herbal additives and fragrances.• Conducting organoleptically research, production control, tasting and appraisal of the quality of the end product.• Participation in business processes: negotiations, collaborations with suppliers on standards for raw tea, additives and fragrances, management of storage of raw materials.

• Understanding existing market dynamics through wide consultation with producers and buyers to appreciate the supply and demand position of both parties and by doing so to arrive at projections of anticipated market behavior. • Conducting thorough market research in local and international news on tea and by keeping abreast of local and international regulatory initiatives which affect the sector. • Auctioning which helps to strengthen the ability to make correct instantaneous decisions under pressure to accept or refuse buyers bids. • Monitoring the timely payment of sales proceeds by buyers (exporters) and the remittance to producers, ensuring that the payments are done on the stipulated deadlines / the prompt dates • Assisting with the warehouse and delivery of shipments to clients • Representing the tea producers and finding the way for the next journey of tea, which will complete when it is consumed by end users.• Selling teas at the Colombo Tea Auction which is known to be the largest in a single producing country.• Conducting tea tasting and quality assessments.
