As Director, Collaborations, Charlene develops and implements strategies to engage BSR member companies and other stakeholders in high-impact collaborations for sustainable development. She specializes in building collaborative approaches between consumer-facing companies and their value chains to embed long-term sustainability, build resilience in the face of disruption, and increase equity, inclusion, and justice.Charlene has over 20 years experience supporting stakeholders to act on emerging systemic challenges for sustainability. Before moving to BSR, Charlene was Associate Director for Forum for the Future's Challenge Lab on Sustainable Value Chains. She led multi-stakeholder collaborative initiatives, including directing the Cotton 2040 initiative, and strategy projects with a range of brands, particularly in the food and apparel sectors. Charlene was for many years been a lead facilitator with The School for Systems Change.She has an MSc in Sustainability and Responsibility from Ashridge Management College, a BA in International Relations from the University of Puget Sound and a Diploma in Organisational Change and Development from Henley Management College. She is a visiting Fellow at the Bristol Leadership and Change Centre (BLCC).
