Designed and developed three-dimensional graphical display software using C++, OpenGL, and OpenSceneGraph on both Linux and Windows platforms.Redesigned and reimplemented the software framework used for aeronautical research within flight simulators and onboard aircraft at NASA Langley Research Center using C++, OpenGL, OpenSceneGraph, and UML. The framework was modified to add the capability to use OpenSceneGraph as the underlying scene graph along with a highly configurable, plug-in architecture design implementation for display symbologies.Developed voice recognition software used to allow pilots to modify cockpit displays by voice. Integrated this software within aeronautical research software at NASA Langley Research Center.Created multi-disciplinary optimization engineering models using UML and Phoenix Integration’s ModelCenter and AnalysisServer software for the purposes of evaluating future reentry vehicle designs at NASA Langley Research Center.Assisted in the creation, preparation, and submission of numerous government contract proposalresponses.Successfully managed numerous software development projects. Designed and developed web-based software interfaces for a corporate-level programmanagement application using HTML, XML, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript, VBScript, C++, and MicrosoftRemote Data Services.Assisted in the development of middle-tier business layer software to provide interfacefunctionality between a back-end ORACLE database and front-end web interface.

Designed and developed a ship acoustic modeling database application using Microsoft Access,C++, Visual Basic, and Visual Basic for Applications. The database application provided for themanagement, design, and noise prediction analysis of shipboard noise components from anindividual component level, system budgeting level, and total ship level.Designed and developed a ship compartment airborne noise level analysis and predictionsoftware application using Visual Basic and C++. The application allowed users to model all of thenoise contributors in a compartment including machinery, ventilation, etc. The application usednoise prediction modeling techniques based on accepted industry prediction standards andtechniques such as SNAME and ASHRAE.Served as the lead engineer for the acoustic design of the next generation scaled modelsubmarine, Large Scale Vehicle (LSV) 2, used to research acoustic technologies for the Virginia-Class submarine. Managed and assisted in the acoustic design of the submarine model, includingthe development of noise requirements for all shipboard components, selection and applicationof all noise control treatments, and use of noise control technologies.Performed noise control and acoustic signature analyses of Los Angeles Class, SEAWOLF Class,and Virginia Class submarines, LSV model vehicles, and NIMITZ Class carriers.
