This not only included designing and developing enterprise services but creating policies and processes surrounding the life cycle of services that would help promote better service governance and risk management. Key quality attributes of focus have been surrounding the challenges of performance, reuse, flexibility and discoverability. Started in 2013 with a handful of services in production which has grown to hundreds of simple to complex, multi-platform services across multiple business domains today.Additionally, have provided technical leadership for multiple project initiatives involving system design and development skills. Particularly in projects where integration with vendor products are being added to the enterprise. All while continually participating with other architects providing support for project designs, code reviews, architecture and technical guidance.Since the beginning of this position I've been asked to regularly provide technical guidance on REST oriented architecture development and to help develop a framework to abstract some of the logic developers often have to make to build services. Provide Crystal Reports 2008 support for many customer reports as well as providing reporting design mentoring.Built a Web reporting system to run on Tomcat using JSF, Facelets, and Richfaces for front-end development. The system today contains interfaces to other organizations using secure FTP and Web services. This department was responsible for not only managing the twelve year program for transpiration but also transportation improvement program, transportation enhancements, safe routes to school, multi-year annual plan, and many other planning initiatives and programs.In 2011 I successfully implemented an enhancement to modify the driver's license history screen in the online Pennsylvania Deportment of Transportation license renewal site to display medical certification details for commercial drivers.From 2005-2012 I was technical lead and architect for a project to convert a very large PowerBuilder application for the Center for Program Development and Management called the Multimodal Project Management System to J2EE on WebSphere. I was responsible for mentoring two Powerbuilder Programmers in their transition to Java/J2EE and Web development as well as object oriented architecture and coding practices. I was also responsible for building custom components for re-usability. From 2001-2012 I supported the Federal Authorization System with enhancements and general maintenance for the Center for Program Development and Management. This was a Domino based, workflow system that included Java back-end agents and hybrid java/lotusscript agents using LS2J.In 2001 I designed and built a data transfer process to collect federal authorization data from the Center for Program Development and Management databases to be sent to the Federal Highway Administration financial management system. The process ran on a Domino server and it was coded in both Lotusscript and Java using FTP.Technologies used during this time are not limited to but primarily include, Domino development, Java, J2EE, Rational Software Architect, Rational ClearCase, WebSphere, HTML, DHTML, AJAX, JQuery, CSS, and some Crystal Reporting. The Billing and Collections System was a client server system in which CICS COBOL programs ran the server side processes and the client application was written in C Presentation Manager on the OS/2 operating system. DB2 was the database that housed all the data. I had to be technically knowledgeable in all aspects of the system not only to make customizations for each customer but also to train and mentor them for transitioning to their own IT departments.
