I am currently a senior at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, where I am working towards a Bachelor's degree, my major is in Supply Chain Management with a collateral in Sales. I have always been extremely adaptable in different environments and situations. For example when I worked at Lowes I was put into a department that I was not too familiar with so the first week was a little challenging as I was unsure where products were or how to answer some questions customers would have. After the first two weeks I felt very comfortable when a customer would ask me questions about various products and could find almost anything I needed to. Competition in regular day to day life as well as within a business atmosphere has always led me to excel and work harder than everyone else around me. When I was working at Finish Line there was always a leaderboard at the registers that would show who had the most sales for the day, this really brought out the competition in me. Every day that I worked my goal was to have the most sales and be at the top of that leaderboard and I would say 9 times out of 10, I would end the day at the top of the leaderboard. With my experience and constant drive to get better every day, I believe the sky's the limit. My career goal is to work in the supply chain industry with a focus on either procurement or transportation. I have always been interested in how everything moves and gets to the places that it needs to go. Since I was a little kid, I would always wonder what is in each and every 18-wheeler. I also really enjoy purchasing things but at the cheapest price I can find for the specific item. This translates directly into the procurement aspect of the supply chain. One thing that makes me really proud and happy is to be able to have a visual direct impact on a company or group's success and I believe I could do this best within the procurement and or transportation aspects of the supply chain. Ultimately I would love to work with a company whose products interest me. This can be things such as products with engines, all the way to outdoor and extreme sports focused companies.
