 Managing team of five property underwriting specialist during transitional period in Commercial Markets. Fostered growth of mono-line property line within Middle Markets Southwest Division from $17 million to $26 million in 18 months. Increased property skill set of all multi-line underwriters. Exceeded planed new business by almost 100% in first full year within Middle Market Southwest Division.

 Managing team of four property underwriters with over $24 million in force. Handled an $8 million book of business which included large national accounts such as Radio Shack, P.F. Changs, Driftwood Hospitality and Cheddars.

 Managed a $14 million book of business with key broker partners. Worked in concert with claims, engineering, home office referral and other internal stakeholders to write profitable property accounts. Was key member on the “Food Processing Manufacturer” vertical that targeted specific accounts for use of a special coverage form tailored to that industry. Acted as a resource to all Liberty Mutual Property underwriters when writing that class of business.

 Managed a $12 million book of business after two months of learning basics of underwriting. Participated in field audit for Weston underwriting office.

 Managed complex large dollar commercial property claims valued from $50,000 to $20,000,000.  Was member of CAT response team for named storms Isabel, Allison, Charley, Frances, Jeanne, Dennis, Katrina, Rita and Wilma.  Consistently met or exceed objectives with respect to 60 day reserves within +/- 10% of the final closed paid amount on claims. Maintained close partnerships with various external (brokers, attorneys, consultants) and internal partners (engineering, underwriting, examiners).

 Managed mix of Auto, Premises Liability, Cargo Legal Liability, First Party Property and Product Liability claims for first two years. Became property claims specialist in 1998 with focus on first party property claims.

 In charge of insuring less than truckload freight is routed to correct cartage trailers. Oversaw “overage, shortage and damage” part of operation to note exceptions to shipments that were lost or damaged and re-route freight that was incorrectly routed
