Served on various educational committees at Jasper City’s special education school, North Highlands School, to include the School Improvement Committee, SACS Committee, Lee v. Conducted diagnostic evaluation of students, including academic and behavioral assessments, as well as developed and implemented individualized education plans and behavior treatment plans. Worked with schools and parents in transitioning students into public schools or other educational placements. Served on Student Treatment Team Committee, Transition Team, and statewide training for special education teachers.

Supervised twelve adolescent boys with severe behavioral and emotional disorders in a residential wilderness camp. Implemented behavioral treatment plans and facilitated individual and group counseling as needed during campsite activities and routines. Helped facilitate Treatment Team and Transition Team meetings.
