I recently ended twenty-one years of service to Sun Chemical Corporation, based in Parsippany NJ, where I held the position of President North American Inks. In this role I had full business responsibility for revenue in excess of $700 million, 1800 personnel and 42 locations across North America.I was requested to relocate from Europe in 2010 to lead the change management and business transition from an ailing underperforming entity to a business today that has made acquisitions, significantly reduced dependence on declining traditional markets, developed sizable positions in new growing markets and has consistently delivered on its financial commitments over the last five years.The role of President necessitated a plethora of skills, but the role also required a very hands on customer facing activity. Delivering client satisfaction by creating new and innovative value added propositions was a vital part of our success. Taking a leading role in presenting, explaining and selling the value of Sun’s end to end propositions at both the influencer level through to the decision maker level was without doubt a key to the successful transition.I have built a senior leadership team that is capable of continuing the ongoing growth that is necessary, bringing in new skill sets along with new ideas and concepts. And I am confidant the business is in good hands going forward.
