I joined the board in early 2013, I have been involved both as a Non Executive, and subsequently as the sole, but part time executive Director of CPO. In January 2016 I became Chair, and leading the discussions with Chelsea FC regarding the proposed redevelopment of Stamford Bridge. During the initial period of my directorship, I ensured that the Directors had timely information for regular board meetings, from which we are able to then distribute information via our website.One of the key tenets was a move to more transparent information about the company.The executive role was firmly concentrating on ensuring that the company has income streams to assist with its role in selling shares in order to pay the debt to CFC.We re-established the running of CPO events and I was closely involved with dinners featuring Chelsea Legends such as Jose Mourinho, Frank Lampard and John Terry. In the last two years we ran a football tournament at Stamford Bridge. We changed the format for the 2016 tournament to make it a more accessible event for supporters and shareholders.As a result of our hard work our accounts for the financial year 14-15 showed a slight profit for the first time in many years. The purpose of the company, to keep Chelsea Football Club at its historic home of Stamford Bridge, has been put into focus with a planned redevelopment of the ground. As Directors we worked hard to ensure that our agreement with the club remained in tact. This required the building of relationships with a variety of stakeholders at the club.In addition, my role included the launch of a social media strategy and communication updating to ensure that the holders of the 20,000 or so shares are kept up to date with the company.
