Managed the process by which over 1000 people per year are tested, evaluated and admitted to practice law in Oregon. Served as Executive Director of the Board of Bar Examiners.Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluation of department staff as well the recruitment and training of seasonal volunteers. Mentored investigative staff and consulted with the Board of Bar Examiners regarding character and fitness issues.Balanced a budget of approximately $500,000. Administered multi-day, high-stakes examinations.Provided personalized ADA accommodations.Planned week-long, work retreats for the Board of Bar Examiners. Responsible for transmission of written and in-person correspondence to the Oregon Supreme Court Spokesman for the Board of Bar Examiners and Oregon State Bar Admissions Program. Guest speaker at Oregon law schools and bar review classes. Committee Chair with the Conference of Bar Admissions Administrators.

Performed various duties of progressive responsibility within the Admissions program. Processed and analyzed bar applications, gathered information for character and fitness investigations and maintained daily bookkeeping. Put together special testing accommodations arrangements as approved by the Board of Bar Examiners. Became proficient with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and monitered changes as the Amendment Act came into effect in 2009. Responsible for updating department policies and procedures and revising the accommodations application for disabled applicants. In 2008 I became a member of the Conference of Bar Admissions Administrators, a national organization devoted to bar admissions. From 2009 to 2011 I was chair of the Special Testing Accommodations committee, helping other jurisdictions to interpret and apply the new ADA regulations.
