For the past ten years, I had the honor of serving in the U.S. military—first as an airborne infantryman in the U.S. Army and later as a firefighter for the U.S. Air Force National Guard. These roles taught me resilience, leadership, and the importance of motivating others in high-pressure situations.After transitioning from active duty, I pursued a degree in Recreation and Sports Management at the University of Arkansas. This academic path sharpened my skills in leadership development, team management, morale building, and event planning. It also allowed me to work for Fayetteville Parks and Recreation, where I thrived in a dynamic, collaborative environment.During this time, I also served as a firefighter for the Air National Guard. Leading a diverse team of service members at the Department of Defense Fire Academy was one of my most challenging and rewarding experiences. As a class leader, I managed accountability, coached my peers, and helped my team excel in a rigorous, high-stakes program—achieving results well above the average success rate.Now, with an MBA from the University of New Mexico, I have built a strong foundation in business leadership. During my studies, I gained valuable experience as a Business Development intern at Sandia National Labs, a Faculty Aid, and a Sales Center Aid at the University of New Mexico. These roles allowed me to expand my expertise in team collaboration, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.As a new father, I am committed to building a career that balances professional growth with time for my family.
