Responsible for EHS at 4 Watco Terminal and Port Services sites in Canada and the Northern United States. Review, evaluate, audit, and provide all required EHS training. Assist in safety talks with supervisors and team members. Assure all required environmental, health, safety and security activities for sites are accomplished as required by regulatory or policy requirements. Conduct walkthrough inspections, audits, task evaluations, testing, training, briefings and reporting of performance measures. Identify and integrate proper safe work procedures, cultivate proper attitudes in a production atmosphere without jeopardizing team members or minimizing EHS in the various workplace job sites. Assure organizational compliance of applicable FRA, OSHA, and EPA federal, state, local and corporate safety, health and environmental regulatory requirements. Evaluate, identify and assure that the plant operations follow and adhere to proven and standardized EHS procedures, policies and rules by all assigned team members, visitors, customers and contractors entering the plant properties. Perform regular environmental audits and efficiency testing, identifying poor work procedures, poor safety work behavior and develop remedial actions in coordination with the Terminal Managers Northern Region Director of Operations, and EHS Director. Conduct post accidents investigations. Assist in developing EHS policies and procedures. CPR First Aid Instructor.

Work on various safety projects under the direction of the hospital safety coordinator. Current projects include fall protection program update and hazardous material area risk assessment training program.

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of trains by myself and all crew members under my charge by adhering to all operating rules, general notices, general orders.Train student conductor assigned to my job. Read and understand timetables, switching charts, train placement requirement for both train makeup and hazmat placement. Read and understand work orders, general track bulletins. Follow verbal instructions from dispatchers, trainmasters, road-foreman of engines, superintendents, and terminal managers. Follow spotting and switching instructions of customers.
