For more than quarter of a century, I've been working with entrepreneurs around the world. From Silicon Valley to Ghana, from Chinese internet tycoons to Norwegian social entrepreneurs, from mega-cities to remote islands. In 2009 I founded The Trampery, one of London's first coworking businesses, which has helped more than 1,000 ventures get started and grow. We worked with local and national governments to realise the Tech City and Fashion District initiatives in London, and led the Tøyen Startup Village project in Oslo.I'm a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, a member of the Mayor of London's Workspace Advisory Board and a Global Board Member of the San Francisco non-profit Techsoup. My articles have been published by media including the Economist and O'Reilly Media. I speak internationally on entrepreneurship, urbanism and system change. Outside my professional interests I'm a keen sailor, medium format photographer and pianist.

Since pioneering the "premium co-working" model in 2009 with the opening of the first workspace in London's "Tech City" cluster The Trampery has developed a total of twelve sites and six accelerator programmes. In 2015 The Trampery was engaged by the City of Oslo to develop strategy for a new innovation district in the east of the city. The resulting Toyen Startup Village initiative opened its first facilities in 2016.The company’s mission for the next decade is to support entrepreneurs, startups, and scaleups who pursue social and environmental benefits alongside profit through Evo Programme, Workspace prioritisation and the Sustainable Fashion Accelerator.
