CurrentTown Supervisor and Town Board SupportPer the direction of the Town Supervisor and Town Board, created an Information Technology Department.Provide overall leadership to the Information Technology Department consistent with the priorities and direction of the Town Supervisor and the Town Board.Engage the Town Supervisor and Town Board in the development and implementation of strategic planning.Keep current with industry trends and issues including current technologies and prices and their potential impact on the Town; advise the Supervisor and Board on their competitive or financial impact. Prepare and deliver monthly reports on issues, successes and project progress to the Town Supervisor and Town Board.Oversight of Technology Services Lead information technology strategic and operational planning to foster innovation, prioritize technology initiatives, and coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technology services. Identify opportunities for cost-effective investment in information technology systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development. Negotiate contracts pertaining to organizational operations, negotiate terms and assure performance. Ensure timely delivery of technology services through effective project management and monitoring system performance. Administration Establish and communicate operating standards and goals for the organization. Oversee effective human resource management, including staffing, recruitment of qualified employees, administration of compensation and benefits programs, employee development and performance management. Expand staff leadership by coaching and mentoring new and existing staff.
