I'm a passionate nurse of 12 years. I have worked throughout the hospital starting med-surg, then mobile nursing, finding my true passion 6 years ago when we started a code team. Putting all my previous years of experience to work responding to critically ill or coding patients. At this time I was also introduced to this specialty field, Vascular Access. First learning PICC insertions and building on that, USGPIV, midline, IO's. I seemed to understand the patients need for reliable access and deliver. Having the opportunity to share that knowledge with others has brought me great pleasure. And the satisfaction of succeeding where others could not is a personal gratification. One of my proudest moments was presenting at an international convention, Association of Vascular Access (AVA). Meeting so many passionate intelligent colleagues was unforgettable.
