Transitioned to a site engineer role for the Pipe Stress organization working with a confidential semi-conductor client providing services during construction. Main point of contact for client and contractors responsible for constructing our pipe stress design deliverables. Participate in weekly, high stakes client and contractor work groups, and internal design forecasting meetings. Responsible for review and clarification of issued design content, and the development of alternate design solutions in the event of an unforeseen constructability or design problem.

Work consists of flexibility and stress analysis of various process and mechanical piping systems of varying complexity. Responsible for creating stress package deliverables, such as, support isometrics and hardware details. Played a significant role in the standardization of project piping supports. Responsible for determining and documenting the process. Utilized FEA, hand calculations, and manufacturer documentation to complete static strength checks using mechanical and thermal properties of metal and plastic components.Created several internal tools using Excel and Python to streamline the engineer’s workflow.

Member of the Pipe Stress group in the Advanced Facilities organization. Work includes modeling and analysis of numerous pipe support and piping systems.

Senior Capstone Design project consisted of material research for wooden bicycle frames reinforced with basalt fiber.Research included composite creation using basalt fiber and epoxy, and composite analysis using Instron material testing machines located in the Materials Research Lab at OSU. Tasked with determining mechanical properties of the basalt matrix and wood-basalt composite to improve 3D modeling techniques. Completed data analysis using Python.

Worked within the SABRE Mechanical team in the Deposition Product Group. Independent work environment with lots of responsibility involving Bill of Material (BOM) updates, mechanical drawing creation, and product release. Developed of thorough understanding of the 3D modeling program CREO.
