The MARC is the life's work of Evan Stein, MD, PhD, and is involved in Phase II and Phase III studies regarding the lowering of Cardiovascular risk by lowering cholesterol and other lipids. Sort of "Saving Lives One Study at a Time "What this group is all about" The MARC is a part of Medpace, Inc. of Cincinnati. My duties as one of the PI's or as a Sub-Investigator included:•Perform study participant histories and physical exams•Explain study procedures and accurately obtain Informed Consent•Contribute medical expertise to study reports, regulatory documents, and manuscripts•Assist in all phases of the studies and trials including feasibility assessments, design processes, educational efforts, management of medical information, and reviewing and editing of medical documents•Attend pre-study and study-related meetings with Sponsors and project teams•Select and work with outside specialists and co-investigators when appropriate•Work closely with other departments in the company and other medical directors as the nature of the trials dictate•Assist with activities related to study participant screening, recruitment, study conduct, and regulatory adherence•Oversee Study Coordinators and Assistants

Worked as a Medical Monitor for several Device studies

•Designed and directed the new Phase I, IIa confined clinical pharmacology unit•Developed a code of conduct and policies for study conduct•Developed SOPs relevant to Phase I, IIa studies•Set and maintained the ethical and scientific tone of the unit•Hired key staff•Developed source document file

Managed this 200 bed Phase I CRO, which was part of Phoenix International.

Working with the Investigators of MDA Pharma Services being their voice when needed. Had the great privilege to know and work with the PI, James Kisicki, MD, a finer more ethical PI as there is.Also developed a special studies area to include Phase IIa (First time in Patient studies).

Was the Principal Investigator on several hundred studies ranging from Several "First-in-Man" to complicated phase IIa studies. Also, we did BioEquivalent studies to fill spaces. This was an all paper CRO and we had no 483's at any time. Many of my former staff are still friends
