I am a PhD level research scientist with more than 17yrs of academic and industrial experience tackling difficult protein expression and characterization projects. Working with challenging systems and trying to do what others have not is the fun part of the work I like to do.     I am responsible for carrying out basic research on integral and peripheral membrane proteins and membrane protein complexes. This includes designing/altering genes, gene cloning, protein expression, protein purification, protein refolding, protease use/optimization, and protein stabilization.
