CurrentThe function of the office is to conduct consumer protection supervision and examinations at a wide variety of depository financial institutions and non-depository financial services to ensure compliance with Federal consumer financial laws.-Assist in identifying potential violations, issues, or discriminatory acts or practices in accordance with procedures and guidelines.-Maintain a working knowledge of the laws and regulations the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) enforces.-Analyze information or data for quality, sufficiency, adequacy, and relevance.-Handle routine problems within scope of work, recognizing potential issues and taking steps to address or elevate them.-Make informed and timely decisions in situations with clearly defined options and provide suggestions for handling problems that are more complex.
