Perform a variety of circulation, reference, and clerical duties to meet the needs of library customers. Assist customers with public access computing to ensure they make effective use of technological resources. Educate customers in library skills to enable them to become confident library users.

Research and gather background information on vendors based on customer’s requirements. Assist in projects such as Market Data Research, PC Image Process, Software Refresh and Software Renewals.

Review various requests by contacting vendors via email or web site to ensure request accuracy once completed then forward on requests for processing into purchase orders

Procurement - Buyer of IT hardware, software and services based on internal customer's request, all purchases processed in an SAP environment. Worked with vendors/suppliers to negotiate best price and achieving the highest level of service. Assigned as main buyer that processed purchase orders for two A-B Corporate Desktop Computer Refresh projects, most recent refresh consisted of 13,000 desktops & 7,000 laptops of a value of approximately $31 million.Worked as main buyer for the Walmart RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) project. Purpose of project to pilot placement and tracking of RFID tags on beer palates.Part of a team responsible for finding a solution for specialized computers to be used on A-B fork trucks in A-B can plants throughout the U.S. This required procurement of super-rugged equipment, capable of withstanding extreme shock and weather.

Provided technical support to on-site Customer Service representatives to fill SWB (Southwestern Bell – now AT&T) orders. Reviewed all orders for accuracy and corrected as needed and would meet daily with customer contacts to review issues with selected vendors Gateway and Toshiba insuring best of class service and pricing.
