The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer reports to the Chief Administrative Office and is responsible for assisting with the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the City of Jacksonville. DCAO performs administrative, supervisory and technical work as required in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the activities of the various departments within the City. In addition, the DCAO provides support to the Mayor and CAO in areas such as financial oversight, the Mayor's Budget Review Committee, and the implementation of departmental processes, policies, and initiatives throughout the City of Jacksonville.
