The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) builds leaders and leads collaboration among government and industry to develop multi-disciplined solutions to national security infrastructure challenges. Comprised of 100 Posts and 50 Student Chapters, the Society unites public and private sector individuals and organizations from across the architecture, engineering, construction, environmental and facility management, cyber security, project planning, contracting and acquisition, and related disciplines in support of national security.

Provides strategic consulting to a wide variety of clients, including federal agencies, state governments, municipalities, and a diverse array of private entities. As Deputy Director, served as the sole military presence in the office responsible to the SECDEF for Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), Joint Basing, basing decisions and real estate transactions.• Led multi-service, senior-level working group overseeing the delivery of city management activities at 12 military installations. Secured $500M savings in one year.• Secured Presidential request for Base Realignment and Closure to capture 20% facility excess savings.

In this role, I lead a multi-service team of 12 members to manage and execute a $2 billion construction program in support of Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan. Specifically, I championed bringing the Air Force in to execute a portion of the construction program. I was responsible for both the Afghan Army and National Police requirements.

I served on Senator Clinton's personal staff as an advisor regarding military issues in her role as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. In this capacity, I wrote speeches, traveled, prepared hearing questions/remarks and met with her NY constituents seeking support.
