Since 4Q23, I lead the Amazon Air Network Planning team responsible for flight scheduling and connectivity design in the US and Canada. We invent, plan, optimize, launch, and manage air transportation solutions that delight customers with fast, efficient shipping using our fleet of 50+ widebody (767/A330) and 20 narrowbody (737) planes, seasonal charters, and block space capacity partnerships. Our flight schedules and network connectivity plans support millions of packages flying each day and solve for the constraints of eight hubs and 40+ secondary airport gateway facilities, 150+ fulfillment centers, 50+ sortation centers, 300+ AMZL delivery stations, and multiple external delivery providers. As a manager, my priority is leading and developing my team to be strong Amazonians who deliver results and obsess over customers, while building the skills to chase their own career ambitions in aviation, product/program management, or any area they’d like to pursue.From 2Q22-3Q23 I founded and led the AIR Network Programs team, managing a team of three Sr PMs and a portfolio of strategic air transportation programs. These included AIR’s service to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Alaska, which grew from one to 80+ weekly flight departures and serves the majority of Amazon Prime customer demand in those geographies; modeling, launching, and managing a network of regional air cargo service to support overnight shipping to mid-sized US cities on a fleet of leased ATR72 aircraft; introducing air-to-air sortation at our Dallas hub; building the processes and analytical approach for the growing 3P cargo sales organization, and consolidated Canada network planning and execution.

NP&S is responsible for strategic and operational decisions related to the flight network at United's eight hubs. We evaluate aircraft configurations, fleet acquisitions/retirements and determine the long term strategy of United’s hubs, and plan near term and future flight frequencies for existing and new markets, both domestically and internationally. We schedule each of United's 5,000 daily departures on our wide-body, narrow-body and regional aircraft fleets. We optimize aircraft flows for passenger connectivity and ensure the flight schedule is operationally feasible and reliable. We look at revenue and cost performance of all of our flights to optimally deploy seat capacity and maximize network profitability.In this role my primary responsibilities included current scheduling for the SFO and DEN hubs and 60+ outstations in the West, Southwest, and Great Plains regions; Maintenance routing for the 737-700 fleet; and special events capacity planning, partnering with airport ops and revenue management to offer customers more flights for major events like the Super Bowl, Kentucky Derby, major music and cultural festivals, and holiday season flying.

Service delivery involves significant customer contact through distributed processes and presents particular operational challenges. OPIM 699: Global Supply Chain Strategy is an MBA course at Wharton San Francisco focused on global supply chain operations in manufacturing and service industries.
