I am responsible for the head coach’s calendar by scheduling meetings and appointments and coordinate travel for recruiting and special events. Additionally I get to assist in logistical aspects in recruiting, design and distribute custom graphics used in recruiting and help plan itineraries for official visits and other recruiting activities. I manage various special projects and perform research as assigned by the Director of Basketball Administration, such as for event planning and building updates. I also maintain suite appearance and inventory, order supplies an equipment needed for practice, game-day, and everyday office needs.

I assisted in supervising and providing on-the-spot maintenance for home games of the NCAA Tournament powerhouse and 2017 National Tournament runner-up Gonzaga men’s basketball team. During games, I was tasked with set-up, crowd control, clean up and tear down of each game, transitioning the sold-out 6,000-seated arena of Maccarthey Athletic Center into an elite 6-hoop practice space. During women's games, I facilitated the volunteer court monitors, to ensure player safety with efficiency and minimal game interruption. Beyond basketball, I helped manage crowd control, ticketing, field operations, and guest relations for all other home NCAA athletic events held on campus, including soccer, volleyball, tennis, and baseball, providing a positive experience for all fans, visiting teams, and spectators. This experience has taught me the importance of maintaining the utmost professionalism while on the job, which is not always easy when you are watching your favorite sports teams play.

On a normal day in the office, I provided information to Gonzaga patrons and fans about upcoming games and the athletic department, increasing community awareness of the programs offered and served as an intermediary between coaches and fans. During the summers, I fact-checked and catalogued pre-season game contracts for men’s and women’s basketball and soccer teams for the upcoming school years, as well as for baseball and volleyball. From my desk, I was tasked with greeting and directing athletes and other guests, keeping the business area organized and stocked, and running campus errands for the Gonzaga athletic director, team coaches, and the ticket office when needed. In this position I gained communication, customer-service, organization, and technical skills involving computer programming, such as Excel, faxing, and scanning.

I worked under the direction of the Lead Coach and Assistant Director of St. Aloysius "Be Like Coach" basketball program, serving on the staff as administrator, and was responsible for promoting the Be Like Coach Basketball program in a positive manner through a variety of media opportunities. For the 2018 season, I conducted the hiring process of all coaches, including recruiting at service fairs and through social media, scheduling and conducting interviews, and matching teams with the best-fit coaches for each age group and level of competition. I hired 45 coaches, the most in program history. After hiring coaches, I scheduled and oversaw practices and games for both the 3rd-4th and 5th-8th programs 6 days a week. In my spare time, I also compiled and maintained statistical and historical records on student-athletes, coaches, and teams for the program director and NABC research chair Jerry Krause, who anticipates using the information to write his memoir about coaching basketball.
