I am very passionate and well-versed in designing knitwear for fashion as well as print design.My experience, thus far, has been working with design teams at Marc by Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, Gary Graham, and Electric Feathers where I focused on knitwear. I had such an amazing time being able to work with the designers, developing materials and shapes for upcoming seasons. I truly enjoy designing garments' surfaces as well as their shapes.Since graduating I have been working fulltime for an activewear company called KD New York where I am the co-designer with the owner David Lee, as well as the programmer for their Stoll knitting machines using Stoll's M1plus technology. Whilst there I have learned how to be a design leader as well as an integral part of the design and production process. The clothing at KD is designed, made, and produced in the Bronx where I work and I therefore have had the privilege of seeing my designs through to the end. I also work in our store in Soho often to see how the product is received.Recently I also worked for the Print Team at Li & Fung and worked on the Altuzarra for Target line. I helped in designing, editing, separating prints and putting them into repeat using Photoshop and Ned Graphics programming.On the side I also have been doing freelance work for several designers such as Electric Feathers and Gary Graham. For Electric Feathers I consulted on the design and production of their newly-developed knitwear group. The line had never delved into the knitwear area previously and my position therefore was to educate them and help design and develop knit pieces for their FW15 Collection.For Gary Graham I was asked to come in to develop pieces for their FW15 and FW16 Collections. Given the collection’s inspiration and fabric swatches, I designed knit swatches which were then applied to the garment. I also patterned and knit the first samples of the FW15 garments for the Style.com photoshoot.
