I have just started working at a Surgery as an Assistant Practice Manager.

My current role varies from dealing with administrative tasks such as writing letters, applying rotas, dealing with patients, speaking to hospital staff, managing QOF, to carrying out clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, INR testing and 24 hour blood pressure monitoring.I also lead a small team of administrators. Ensuring the work of the team is carried out efficiently and effectively. I try to motivate my team based on the their individual needs. I complete monthly audits of the work, and also carry out regular team meetings and individual one to ones to discuss progress and any issues there may be.

As a survey co-ordinator i was responsible for the diaries of five surveyors. I had to contact clients and arrange for the surveyors to go and value their properties.

This role included dealing with customer complaints and also valuation challenges when they were not happy with the valuation provided for their property. We dealt with banks and the general public.
