I manage stock levels across 22 depots within the UK which includes me dealing with a large amount of Suppliers/Vendors such as United Biscuits, KP, Refresco, Lakeland Dairies. Along side managing the stock levels, I have a lot of stock from my suppliers which involve short BBD so when ordering I have to bear this in mind to make sure we are not left with shorted dates products.I liaise with a lot of Suppliers and third party haulage companies which includes chasing ETA’s for any outstanding PO’s, any amendments that may be needed on PO’s to match sales rates that may have increased/decreased, any/all discrepancies our customers come across within PO’s that have been delivered. There are daily Forecast spreadsheets sent out for all new customers/VIP customers/big events, that I order in for requested dates.

Maintaining accurate stock levels by way of regular PI checks. Ensuring products are within best before date ranges. Reducing damages and repacking products to reduce stock loss. Investigating and processing variances

Assisting on an ad-hoc basis with bookkeeping to include data entry of receipts and cross referencing with bank statements.

Typical work and experience included bar work, cash handling, PR and entertaining.I very much enjoyed seeing the world from a different perspective which also gave me a lot more independence.

My position of Trainee Transport Router consisted of working alongside the Transport Router and making sure that the delivery routes were in the correct orders and areas to suit customer timings and needs of their business. This also entailed emailing/booking slots prior to deliveries for bigger customers and making sure that our specific drivers were on time and in the correct vehicles that we had scheduled. Updating excel sheets with driver details, route, vehicle reg and telephone numbers.

Dealing with customer queries/complaints over the telephone and via email through to conclusion. Escalating queries and solving problems, liaising with various departments as necessary to resolve issues. Considering discrepancies on customer invoices and processing credits where required. Dealing with all administrative duties.

Undertaking front of house duties which included meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests. Responsibilities included accounts and guest billing processes; keeping the reception area clean and tidy; general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and switchboard; administering all routes of reservations to ensure that room bookings were made and recorded accurately; keeping up-to-date with room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to guests. I covered the position of the Reservations Manager during periods of annual leave and the position of Duty Manager as and when required. On occasions, I showed guests around the hotel venue on behalf of the Wedding Co-ordinator.

My employment at The Bear was initially on a part time basis as an Associate whilst attending college. Since leaving college I was employed full time and progressed from Associate to Team Leader in October 2014 and subsequently to Shift Leader in February 2015. As Shift Leader, I was responsible for running shifts with responsibility for managing the team on duty, making sure that customers were happy and dealing with feedback. When running the shift, I was responsible for opening/closing the pub, staff time-keeping and attendance, handling cash, ordering stock and taking deliveries. I was also cross-trained to work in the kitchen so as to assist when necessary during busy periods.
