Swapping journalism for PR and Marketing in 2022, I now lead the comms efforts for Media.Monks in Southeast Asia, AUNZ and India, helping to grow the reputation and awareness of the business in these diverse regions. Prior to this, I worked as a technology and digital media journalist for over 15 years; writing, editing and leading discussions around the most exciting trends in the most exhilarating industry.This experience includes being the Publisher for APAC at The Drum, where I won the PRCA Award for Journalist of the Year Southeast Asia. I also oversaw the launch of The Drum's products and services in APAC, building audience and revenue growth year on year. During that tenure, I launched a major awards program for the programmatic industry and championed Asian creativity in special content and events. I have also spoken on stage across several significant events, including Advertising Week in the UK and APAC, Spikes and Cannes Lions.I have also been the digital editor of Marketing Magazine, where we won Best Content Team at the PPA Digital Awards in 2016. Before that, I was the associate editor at 12ahead, where I helped agencies navigate digital disruption via online and offline content and training.
