The International Telecommunication Union is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for ICTs. One of our priorities in Southern Africa is facilitating the transposition of the SADC model National Emergency Telecommunications Plan in member states.I am managing the Judiciary Training project which provides capacity development to the judiciary and legal fraternity in countries on emerging technology laws.Moreover, I am conducting research on national and regional issues relating to the development of the ICT sector and digital development across sectors in the SADC region.

I worked as a legal intern at the Universal Periodic Review Branch of the Office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights. The UPR is a mechanism established by the United Nations OHCHR to assess the Human Rights status of member states using a peer-to-peer process. My main responsibilities were assisting in drafting Pre-session reports, creating Infographics and conducting research on various thematic areas as well as supporting the Branch during the 41st Working Group sessions.

I was part of the Padova Model UPR Secretariat and assisted in organizing and coordinating the 4th Padova Model UPR simulation. I was a co-author of the Padova Model UPR Handbook which was published in 2021. Prior to the simulation, we trained participants, then graded and supported them during the simulation.
