══ MY WORK ══I have spent the last 10+ years working in the non-profit/education sector and have an extensive background in higher education, volunteer management, public speaking, and program management. I have led departments in associate director and managerial roles, cultivating a community-oriented team culture. Though my responsibilities can lie within numbers (finance, donor relations, budgets), my work is person-centered. I have had the great pleasure of serving my community by securing scholarship funding for students otherwise unable to attend college, LEADING teams of volunteers, facilitating important discussions about race/equity, and coaching and MENTORING student scholars who will become our future leaders.══ MY PASSIONS ══I love PUBLIC SPEAKING, facilitating discussions, and groups. Being able to effectively communicate a topic that is otherwise inaccessible or difficult to understand is something I thrive at and enjoy. This work also allows me the great opportunity to listen closely to others and really hear what is being said. One of the most important parts of FACILITATING is listening, and I take delight in ensuring others feel heard. I am also deeply passionate and dedicated to diversity & inclusivity. This is not just an “area” of my work but is embedded and intertwined throughout everything that I do.══ STRENGTHS ══I am a RELATIONSHIP BUILDER. Whether this is forging solid relationships with various departments, donors, and outside organizations, or leading a team of staff and volunteers, my strength is in leading and collaborating with others. The relationships I’ve built have frequently led to lasting partnerships, resulting in organizational growth. As displayed from the work I’ve done, I am also very multi-faceted. I have the ability to take on whatever task is needed to contribute to the greater whole. I have re-invented programs (from marketing to event implementation), hosted orientations, created volunteer opportunities, and managed large administrative workloads.
