- Developed data governance and data literacy strategies for public sector clients in Indiana, including Family Social Services Administration and a private university.- Created a privacy impact assessment strategy to address a large state agency’s data privacy and security vulnerabilities

My dissertation explored the design, implementation, and use of decision support dashboards in higher education institutions. I was grateful to receive three fellowships from Indiana University and the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, which allowed me to focus solely on completing my dissertation.

Helped the Enterprise Business Intelligence team improve their institutional decision support dashboards through user assessment interviews.

As a graduate assistant, I served as data analyst for the School of Informatics, Computing, Engineering while pursing my Ph.D. In this position, I used institutional data to assess graduate and undergraduate enrollment and admissions trends, student success, and career outcomes. Using this information, I helped drive data-driven decision making by communicating with the School's administration and by developing Tableau dashboards.

In this position, I was charged with increasing the School's undergraduate enrollment. During my time, we saw a dramatic increase in undergraduate applications and in our yield. To improve our recruitment efforts, I used institutional data to target existing key markets, as well as identifying potential new markets. Additionally, I developed a strategic marketing campaign to improve communication with our applicants.

During my time as an undergraduate admissions recruiter for Indiana University-Bloomington, I increased applications and yield in my key out-of-state markets (Colorado and St. Louis), as well as in my in-state territories. As a part of the admissions marketing team, I worked collaboratively with the rest of the team on the #IUSaidYes marketing campaign, on the IU Admissions website redesign, and on a revamped communication efforts. Additionally, I was in charge of the Alumni Student Recruitment Program, which, through collaborations with the IU Alumni Association and the IU Foundation, used hundreds of IU alumni to serve as regional recruiters in territories in which IU admissions recruiters did not normally visit.
