The special education paraprofessional assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities, help special needs students, and cares for their physical, emotional health and safety, affirming their abilities, and striving to promote dignity in all relationships. I spend my days helping children with one on one contact involving homework, class room activities, recreational, and tasks throughout the day.

• During the school year, Kids' SAFARI provides programming for students enrolled in kindergarten through grade 5. During the summer, Kids' SAFARI provides full-day programming for students entering kindergarten through the completion of grade 5. The program includes creative learning experiences designed to increase social interaction and lead children to discover friendship, independence and confidence.• During the months of June- August I control class sizes of 20-30 kids ranging from grades 4th going into 6th. Along with my coworkers I enjoy creating new friend seeking experiences for all children within the program. As well as helping children out of their comfort zone and challenge them to meet new friends and embrace change within our program.

• Ran and operated my own warming house for the city of Lakeville.• Tasks included shoveling snow, keeping track of how many kids appear on the hour, as well as providing first aid training to any injuries.

• Spent time Online shopping customers orders.• Worked in the delivery room handing out grocery’s to customers.• This helped me strengthen my problem solving skills with mistakes on orders or delivery problems. Managing what to do for the customers as well as my co-workers was a role I helped proudly in.
