While working on the VoIP project from the testing perspective I noticed an opportunity to learn and explore my interest in web programming.At the time we were outsourcing the engineering of our VoIP card and it took more time and trouble to get, what appeared to me, simple feature additions and bug fixes for the web admin portion of the product.So on my own time I began tinkering with the code and was able to start providing fixes for things that were choking up testing.This freed up the contractor to spend more time on their specialty which was the custom SIP/VoIP code, and I was able to entirely take over the web portion.The team appreciated the work I did and provided me opportunity to advance into the position I now hold.I now work with a small core engineering team with dedicated roles to generate new products and maintain old ones.I am in charge of all the web based applications, and varying levels of integration into new and existing products.In addition to yet unreleased products, for which I cannot speak too, I was lead on the following 2 products:* Control Server (Which won a Best of Show Award at ISE 2018)* T-5Additionally, I was a major individual contributor on these 2 products:* VoIP Expansion Card* All Edge and newer DSPsMy responsibilities include (though are not limited to):* Writing, Maintaining, and Refactoring New and Legacy Code For New and Old Products* Innovation and Design for Ideas/Features and Issues* Issue Debugging and Fixing* Live Field Issue Debugging With Customers* Communicating/Collaborating With Team Members * Pair Programming * Debugging Sessions* Various Documentation Creation and Maintenance* Self Motivation and Management
