Itential believes as networks become more programmable through the introduction of SDN and NFV technologies that legacy, monolithic OSS is just not going to be able to keep up. The answer to managing a more dynamic network is dynamic, real-time OSS achieved through a model-based, platform centric approach that consumes existing APIs and allows for the creation of micro-applications that combine underlying capabilities in new ways. Specific areas of expertise we focus on are: Pronghorn Application Platform, which provides a platform for consumption of existing OSS/Network APIs; Real-Time OSS, through a set of pre-built micro-applications that operate within the Pronghorn ecosystem; OpenStack, for support of NFV specific functionality; and SDN technologies such as network controllers and overlay networking.Personal History:I have been in the Communications and IT fields for 20+ years. I began my career supporting IT and cellular/GSM networks, and moved into a leadership role implementing best practices and governance around network buildouts and infrastructure upgrades. I have represented my employer on various industry committees, such as the planning, testing, and implementation of Local Number Portability.I transitioned to managing a team of project managers, analysts and architects in planning, implementing, and managing OSS systems supporting the network I had helped build. This role included program management oversight of all OSS/BSS efforts for the largest CLEC in the Southern US.I moved to a broader role with Alcatel-Lucent within the Global Consulting group, and eventually became Fulfillment OSS Leader for the Americas Region (North America and Caribbean/Latin America markets - providing support to the EMEA and APAC regions as required).Personal Focus:SDN/NFV impact on OSS/BSS, Pronghorn, OpenStack, OpenContrail, StratOS, SDN/NFV Architecture
