With over six years of work experience in various administrative and customer service roles, I am a passionate and dedicated Patient Billing Specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), one of the world's leading cancer centers. My mission is to provide compassionate and efficient billing support to patients and their families, while ensuring compliance with insurance and regulatory policies. I have a BA in Psychology/ Human Relations and Biology from Pace University, which enables me to understand and empathize with the diverse needs and challenges of the patients and staff at MSKCC. I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the vision and values of MSKCC, and to bring my perspective and experience as a bilingual and bicultural professional to the team.At MSKCC, I assist patients with their billing need by verifying insurance eligibility and authorization, resolving billing issues and disputes, and communicating with patients, providers, and insurance companies. I have also supported the Infectious Disease Fellowship program by monitoring clinic numbers, orienting medical students and fellows, and acting as a liaison between the Graduate Medical Education Coordinator and the Director of the ID Fellowship Program. I use my skills in leadership, Microsoft Office, and customer service to handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently and effectively, and to provide excellent service to the patients and staff. I also participated in mentorship and training to new and existing administrative staff, and provided coverage and assistance in the Department of Medicine when needed. I am proud of being part of a collaborative and supportive team that strives to improve the operations and outcomes of MSKCC.
