I started my career as a systems designer fresh from earning a mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Tech. People still ask me if I use my engineering background in my real estate career, and the truth is I use it every day. Engineers are problem solvers, and so when I'm faced with issues the wheels start turning and I'm immediately forming solutions. By adding an MBA from UGA's Terry College of Business I gained an understanding of what makes businesses work, and what to do when they don't. And while degrees are great, they're no substitute for experience. As an entrepreneur, I've been responsible for every aspect of my businesses, from accounting to marketing, business development, management, human resources, you name it and I've done it. So I see the big picture, and I know how to leverage my skills to achieve the objective and exceed expectations.
