Under my leadership, and during my tenure as Executive Director, Centro Legal underwent tremendous, yet thoughtful, sustainable, and strategic growth. We made great strides in establishing and maintaining relationships with funders, community partners, and government leaders. The number of government grants/contracts increased by 83%, and our partnerships with private foundations increased by 108%. Centro Legal’s budget nearly tripled during my tenure. Also during my tenure, we more than tripled the organization’s financial reserves. Similarly, the size of staff grew from 22 staff members on payroll to 56, with a budget for 70 staff members. Most importantly, the number of clients served per year nearly tripled during my time at Centro Legal. Show less
