I undertook another packaging internship at QuadPackaging in January 2020. QuadPackaging is a business derived from Quad/Graphics. This fast paced internship taught me how to make logical snap decisions. I had to rely on my inner voice. I also got to see more of the packaging industry in greater depth.Collaborated with department managers on design and production processes for various projects. Worked with creative director in Adobe Illustrator to design production materials and other items for both internal and external use. Responsible for maintenance on company databases and inventory for ample departments. Performed additional tasks required to ensure proper flow within the company.

In January of 2019, I had a great opportunity to intern at CCL Label. CCL Label is an international labeling company. There I discovered print’s global impact. It gave me a clearer perspective on the influence of the packaging industry. I learned a wide variety of processes and procedures that make the graphics and production industry so unique. Performed administrative tasks and designed monthly documents using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for HR and safety department. Prepared documentation of safety and production procedures for production managers. Informed company of new and recurring events by maintenance of billboard displays. Updated company databases and inventory for multiple departments.

When Americans think of coffee, one of the places they think of is Starbucks. Starbucks was a fun and engaging experience overall. Being a Starbucks barista is more than just making drinks and food. It’s mostly establishing long-term relationships with customers. Starbucks sharpened my face-to-face communication skills. It also allowed me creativity, as well as making me receptive to customer needs.

This was my first entry into the job market. I assisted customers to the correct departments, answered phone calls and stocked merchandise. Additional tasks included cleaning the fitting rooms whenever possible, and putting back clothes or returned items. My Walmart experience was my first introduction to customer service. I often had to interact with different types of people - customers, coworkers, and even managers. I had to balance my fitting room tasks along with any change of course.
