School Counselor
Current-Maintain confidential records and monitor academic performance and progress for a caseload of 400+ students -Provide individual counseling to address the social, educational, and emotional needs of all students on a daily basis; Support students through empathetic conversation with problem-solving, goal setting, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, behavior and decision making, etc. -Collect and analyze data to identify student needs and gaps in services; Develop and implement guidance lessons based on data -Advise students on caseload regarding educational topics, such as graduation requirements, course scheduling, registration, career exploration, and organization-Consult and collaborate effectively with counselors, administrators, teachers, parents/guardians, and other educational and community resources to assist with student success-Organize an annual “Freshman Night Out” for incoming students to assist with a smooth transition to High School; Present to students and families regarding 9th grade year -Participate with the school leadership committee to guide school improvement efforts -Provide community resources and referrals to students and families-Proctor state and nationwide assessments
