• I designed and built an optical system with 10W 1064nm CW laser to createtwo optical tweezers overlapped within 10um relative to each other fortrapping strontium atoms and creating Bose Einstein Condensates.
• I designed optical system with creativity to integrate 461nm, 689nm, 698nm,813nm, 1064nm into the same vacuum chamber with unique requirement ofbeam profile, polarization, intensity, frequency for each laser beam.
• Since I joined the group, I have made major contribution toward producingBose-Einstein condensation and Fermi degeneracy of strontium atoms.

• As a leading graduate student of the project, I optimized and maintained acomplex experiment consisting of 200+ elements of optics, electronics withtroubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• I assembled and optimized and made control feedback system for variouslasers like diode laser, tapered amplifier and titanium doped sapphire laser.
• I optimized and maintained a complex frequency network from RF to opticalso that all key frequencies are referenced to an atomic clock with accuracybetter than 0.1 parts-per-billion through various tools like optical.
• I improved experiment signal-to-noise ratio with highprecision transimpedance amplifier and filtering circuit and various statisticalmethods like Bayesian inference to extract sub nanoampere signal fromatom fluorescence.
• I characterized some major statistical and systematic error with analyticalmodeling, fast simulation with C, optical beam characterization and multiplestatistical methods.
• As a team, we have measured the fine-structure constant to 0.20 parts perbillion, which results in a significant paper in Science, setting a record ofthe most accurate measurement of the fine-structure constant in.
