Steering clinical services at the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, I ground my leadership in compassion and a steadfast commitment to equitable care. My blend of nursing expertise and administrative acumen has been instrumental in advancing ambulatory care for underserved populations.Our team’s success in developing and implementing community-centric healthcare programs showcases our collaborative approach. For instance, integrating telemedicine in response to the pandemic was a significant achievement, made possible by a team unified in the belief that challenges are opportunities to innovate rather than accept defeat. By focusing on targeted training, strategic positioning, and policies that align with the organization’s values and goals, we ensure that our services meet the dynamic needs of our patients.I am particularly passionate about improving workflows and communication, especially in the referral process. Patients with multiple comorbidities often receive referrals from various providers—primary care physicians, specialists, and emergency room doctors—but are unable to be seen in a timely manner. I see this issue as one of the primary frustrations for patients and their families as they navigate a complex healthcare system.
