Dr. Getter has worked on assessing and mitigating some of the world's most significant man-made coastal impacts, including sea-level rise impacts, threats to aboriginal peoples’ lands from global warming, ecocidal events of purposeful oil releases, and hazardous waste as acts of terrorism. He has worked as a planner in project development, project completion, and grant writing, and he has been associated with over $1B in contracted work around the world. He works for the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, helping bring lands into trust, brownfield remediation, and climate resilience planning.
