FAE for project to integrate the DeviceVM Linux based complementary instant-on environment for a leading PC manufacturer. The project encompassed a number of different laptop models and supported a range of Windows operating system versions. Specific changes to the BIOS were implemented by the customer, requiring close cooperation between the customer and DeviceVM teams.Tasks responsible for included:• Analysing customer feature requests• Triaging of issues and assigning to engineering teams in Taiwan and China• Attending regular teleconferences with customer project management team based in US• Reporting implementation and defect status• Estimating feature implementation schedule and discussing with customer• Assessing project risk status and reporting to customer

Responsible for maintaining long term ongoing relationship with customers for the Soleus, Windows CE based mobile handset platform:• Managing the customer, setting appropriate expectations and understanding their needs• Providing training to the customer together with engineering team• Providing first line support for questions and troubleshooting problems• Coordinating resolution of issues within the team and escalating appropriately as required• Communicating technically with the customer and internal technical teams in North America• Understanding the customer schedule, go to market plan, and communicating that back to internal management

Responsible for triage of defects raised during Motorola system test, field test and operator trials: •Performing the initial risk assessment•Risk and Issue identification and managementResponsible for tracking the status of product defects:•Tracking histories of issues through to resolution•Generation of activity and trend reports based on defect metrics•Review of defect resolution plans with domain leadsResponsible for day to day management of ODM suppliers:•Communication of milestone criteria to ODM•Evaluation of defect resolution plans from ODM•Review of ODM daily progress reports•Provision of weekly summary reports to software project manager

•Development of a dual mode GSM/UMTS handset based upon the Windows Mobile 5.0 (Pocket PC Phone Edition) platform.•Design and development of the FM radio sub-system. The sub-system was partitioned into UI application, middleware and device driver components. The application was developed with the MFC and Win32 APIs.•Development and maintenance of system and application components for the Symbian OS smartphone. The software was developed in C++ using MS Visual Studio.•Development and maintenance of automated build scripts using Perl.•Release of the code environment in weekly baseline deliveries to internal and external project teams. •Provided technology support for the Arima product, attending the 2004 Symbian Expo trade show in London, UK.•Development of a PDA product based on the Windows CE 4.1 platform with using the Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ version 4.0 and Platform Builder tools.•Responsibilities included system integration and test suite development.
