Promise in Brevard is a non-profit organization which provides safe, permanent, affordable housing for individuals with a wide-range of cognitive abilities in conjunction with social, vocational and meaningful employment opportunities to foster maximum self sufficiency, utilizing public and private partnerships to develop a model community.The goal is to provide inclusive housing options for young adults with special needs that include vocational training employment, health wellness and fitness programs, as well as develop public/private partnerships that will help minimize the need for state funding.

Palm Bay Academy is a Title 1 Charter School located in Palm Bay, Florida.

Kindergarten through Grade 12 school. Montessory learning in Grades K-2. Emphasis on reading, math and writing. Instruction includes Spalding Phonetics and printing, Lucy Calkins Writers' Workshop model, and early learning Montessori materials. Each classroom tends a garden space, growing food and flowers. After school programs include Yoga, cooking, Lego building, and a variety of sports offerings. This school has an 'A' rating and recently won the Department of Education's Green Ribbon School award. All Saints Catholic School is located in Davenport, Iowa with a student population of 484 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. All Saints has the most diverse student population of the Catholic schools in Davenport in terms of ethnicity and economics. The school is comprised of three parishes - St. Alphonsus, Sacred Heart, and Holy Family and partners with Saint Ambrose University by providing opportunities for college students majoring in special education, elementary education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language pathology and social work to gain field experience. Saint Ambrose provides a wide range of staff development and consultation services to All Saints in exchange.Just under half of our operating expenses are covered by tuition. This course provided foundational skills for professionals working on a multi-disciplinary team setting.Designed and delivered undergraduate level course "Introduction to Mental Disabilities". This course was a requirement for students receiving undergraduate degrees in Special Education. Students were provided with a historic background of the social, medical, and educational issues of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
