A part time position until September 2012, I am one of the co-founders and the former Executive Director of Rhawnhurst Turning Point, a center for 6-12th grade youth and young adults in Rhawnhurst. My responsibilities included supervising staff and volunteers, overseeing program development and implementation, community networking, public speaking, grant writing, donor development, fundraising, event planning, working closely with the Board of Directors, and being involved in the day to day running of the Center. I chose to step down from this position in June 2016 after being involved in Rhawnhurst Turning Point since its inception in May 2007. I am looking forward to expanding my work experience in the non-profit world as I seek out a new position in the Philadelphia area.We work with 6-12th grade youth to provide a center where they can learn, grow, serve and have fun in a safe environment supported by caring volunteers and Christian staff. This includes providing free programming such as homework help, drop-in times, art classes, community service opportunities, Christian weekend activities, special events and much more.

Worked as the Youth Minister, working with 6-8th graders, 9-12th graders, and College and Career Group. Included Bible Studies, field trips, game nights, retreats, service projects, etc. This was a joint position, connecting the youth ministries of this church with Redemption Lutheran. In 2009, this became a part-time position, allowing me to concurrently serve as the Director of Rhawnhurst Turning Point.

Worked part and then full time as the Youth Minister, responsible for organizing group activities for 4-5th graders, 6-8th graders, 9-12th graders, and College and Career Group. Included Bible Studies, field trips, game nights, retreats, service projects, etc. Also led the Youth Praise Band, which helped lead worship throughout the year. In September 2008, this became a joint position, connecting the youth ministries of this church with Rhawnhurst Presbyterian Church. In 2009, this became a part-time position, allowing me to concurrently serve as the Director of Rhawnhurst Turning Point.(While working part-time as the Youth Minister from May 2005-September 2008, I also worked part-time as the Administrative Assistant in Redemption's Church office I was responsible for communications, word processing, data entry, nursery school registrations and tuition processing, and supplying the office.)
