My role as Development Officer, Events enabled me to expand on both my communication and marketing skills as I was responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of all the Foundation’s primary and partnership events. My duties included the development, management and reconciliation of all event-related details including marketing and print materials, timelines, budgets, contract negotiations, liaison management and the training and supervision of volunteers and staff.

As the Promotions and Event Coordinator, I was able to further hone my project management skills in organizing the many events that took place on Grouse Mountain ranging from cultural and family-based festivals to recreational and competitive races. My position allowed me to work creatively to promote their programs and services and provided ongoing hands-on opportunities in the Sales and Marketing field.
