The responsibilities included:• Managing the vic.gov.au portal;• Providing analysis and authoritative, high level and timely advice to senior management and web practitioners on digital best practice;• Managing the governance and registration of vic.gov.au domain names.• Managed a team of three and reported to the Deputy DirectorI specialised in search engine optimisation and web analytics.Major achievements included:Coordinating the State Government of Victoria’s application for the generic top level domain “.melbourne” providing domain name expertise and advice to the steering committee.Analysing the www.vic.gov.au portal post implementation of the responsive design development to understand the user experience. Proposing and implementing subsequent changes to the site which after user testing demonstrated increased user satisfaction with the site.Identifying a need and instigating a project where I redeveloped and optimised the vic.gov.au blog to meet web standards compliance.
