I am an experienced executive with more than 25 years of experience who has counseled and coached leaders in the areas of crisis communications, strategic planning, business strategy, executive presence, change management, public relations, and internal communications. I am a skillful strategic planning and board retreat facilitator. I am an expert in media and presentation training. I have worked with an impressive portfolio of executives and Fortune 100 corporations, higher education and nonprofit institutions and as an executive for DePaul University, Home Box Office (HBO), Nielsen Marketing Research and Golden State Mutual. As a consultant and coach, I have worked with Coca-Cola, Nissan, Allstate, McDonald’s, McCain Foods, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, and Magellan Corporation, among others.I was national president and CEO of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the profession’s premier organization. I remain the youngest inducted into its more than 350-member College of Fellows. I am PRSA’s 2011 Gold Anvil recipient, the Society’s highest award presented to one professional each year whose work significantly advances the profession and sets high standards for the practice of public relations. I was selected as one of the top 20 Best Executive Coaches in Chicago and am one of more than 2,000 in the world who holds an International Coaching Federation Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential. I led Nielsen Marketing Research’s culture and operation change communications efforts when I was recruited to suspend my consulting practice and form a new public relations department. I was appointed to the Dun & Bradstreet Global Communications Council to assist other Dun & Bradstreet companies implement the media relations strategies I developed. I was awarded the Dun & Bradstreet Customer Focus award.
