This is Ches -I have been working at NASA's Kennedy Space Center for nearly 10 years. Currently I have a dual role. 1 - I am a mechanical analyst - ensuring that Ground Support Equipment for the Artemis and ISS programs meet stress and longevity requirements through finite element modeling, hand calculations, etc. Major projects include systems on the Mobile Launcher Umbilical Arms and the Crawler Transporter.2 - Flight Pressure Systems Engineer - I am a member of NASA's Flight Pressure Systems working group, representing the COMET contract team in regards to processing of Nitrogen/Oxygen/Breathing Air tanks for ISS resupply. I participate in the updates to requirements documents for pressure systems and Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels, especially as the technology rapidly advances.These roles provide an exciting position in the ever-growing realm of spaceflight. It is a privilege and an honor to work at the USA's premiere spaceport. Each of the roles involve multi-disciplinary teams and complex problems. Having a dual role has positioned me to uniquely benefit the space program when the processing of flight tanks requires new and improved GSE.At KSC I have had roles involving Design of Ground Support Equipment, PVS certification, Liquid Oxygen operations, additive manufacturing, and Precision Measurement.Outside of my day job, I am actively curious about many subjects:Astronomy, Evolutionary Biology, Science Education, Podcasting, Ethics, Neuroscience, the Psychology of Game Design
